I Am an Uppertaker

When I go into a store, or am on the phone with a business, it is not unusual to get into a conversation about what I do. I say, “I am an uppertaker.”

An undertaker?

“No. I am an uppertaker

That is where I set the stage for the Holy Spirit to do His miracles.

With no hesitation, I explain, “I am the person that gets you ready for Heaven. Are you ready for Heaven?”

It really is that easy. When you are keeping yourself open to those opportunities, the door only has to open a crack and you are in. If you recognize it is the Holy Spirit’s job to close the deal, the pressure is off. God will give you the words and the wisdom, and His Spirit will turn your enemies toward the truth.

It is the Holy Spirit's job
to close the deal.

Jesus said that we will be given a mouth to speak -- an anointed tongue. When we are walking and living the Spirit-filled life, God will give us the ability to speak and share the Gospel with penetrating force and truth, even in the most challenging of circumstances. Generally, most Christians are afraid of evangelism because they are scared that they will not say the right thing. But the fact is that there are no “right” words to use in order to share the Gospel with others.

“But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony. Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist.” (Luke 21:13-15, NKJV)

Christianity without the involvement of the Holy Spirit becomes like any other unfounded religion in the world. Nothing is worse than dead Christianity. It is not true Christianity.

God never intended for you to have dead religion. He wants us alive in Him and filled with faith and His power so that we may witness and shine for His Kingdom.

Ask the Holy Spirit to make you undeniably aware of the opportunities He has set up for you today. Seek Him and ask Him to search your heart, make corrections in your thoughts and behavior, so you can be a good example of a life transformed and accepted by a Holy God.
